THANKS TO YOU, WE ARE WELL-STOCKED ON COATS, HATS, GLOVES & MITTENS and DIAPERS. THANK YOU!!
Our sincere thanks goes out to all of the wonderful individuals and buisnesses that supported us and the Kiwanis through their participation in our annual "Golfing for Good" Outing and Dinner Event. We had a wonderful day for the event and fun was had by all. We even had a few surprise Blackhawk items donated that became very popular during our live auction. Thanks also to our special guest, Jacque Miller, who serenaded everyone with her amazing vocals later in the evening. We would not be able to help so many within our community without the great support of all of you!
“Lazarus House Good Neighbor Day” is a great time to remember that homelessness is still among us!
“We are forever grateful to former Mayor Don DeWitte for proclaiming June 19 as “Lazarus House Good Neighbor Day” for that gives us a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness on the issue of homelessness,” says Lazarus House Executive Director Liz Eakins.. “When the public drives by our buildings, most have no idea what is inside. At this moment, we are housing and feeding over 50 people daily from our community. These are people who are counting on us for a “hand up” and we are privileged and honored to provide exactly that.” (Read press release here.)

Being new in the St. Charles area, Dr. Atkins' practice, Renaissance Women's Health, appreciates referrals. For every referral received, Dr. Atkins will make a donation to Lazarus House. This practice supports women at every stage of life, providing a comfortable and personalized place for women's healthcare.
Again this year, Lazarus House has been blessed by the kindness and generosity of St. Charles Celtics Soccer Club. Team members collected a car load of needs list items and generated nearly $1,000 in cash through their "knucklehead" hair cut fundraiser. Many thanks to this wonderful group of players and to Tina of Couture Salon, Geneva, for providing the cuts.

After 10 years of heavy use, the Center for Transitional Living flooring is getting a much needed facelift. Thanks to funds from the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley, the worn carpet has been removed to make way for new sanitary tile.
It’s not a simple undertaking to displace sleeping rooms, fixtures and personal belongings, along with freezers, cabinets, computers and more, but we have been
blessed by several teams of volunteers helping withthis ongoing project.
THANK YOU EVERYONE!!
